Brantham, Essex

This comprised a total site area of about 40 hectares and included a mix of existing employment uses and derelict land.

Acting on behalf of the principal landowners, Boyer Planning secured an allocation of the site for mixed employment and residential development in the Adopted Local Plan.

Proposals are now being prepared for regeneration of the site to include retention of employment uses together with residential development, associated facilities and significant new areas of open space. Boyer Planning is responsible for co-ordination of the consultant team in the preparation of a planning application and environmental impact assessment.

The site has a range of issues including contamination and ecology which will need to be addressed in future development proposals. The planning application is scheduled to be submitted during 2010.
