Cwrt-y-Gollen
Representing the site's owners Crickhowell Estates, (to whom the site reverted when the Ministry of Defence moved out), Boyer Planning submitted an outline planning application to the National Park Authority to redevelop this former Army Training Camp in the Brecon Beacons into a mixed use scheme comprising some 200 dwellings, 1 hectare of employment, a residential care home, children's day nursery and other community provision. This followed earlier promotion of the site through the UDP process, also followed by a development brief prepared with extensive stakeholder consultation and approved in September 2008.
The proposal represented the largest mixed-use scheme in the National Park. The application was due to be determined in autumn 2009.
