Boyer Planning played a key role on the professional team that secured planning permission for a new sports centre at Tonbridge School in Kent. One of the country's most prestigious schools, Tonbridge required a state-of-the-art, multi-use indoor facility. It represented a significant planning challenge because the only suitable land on the school estate was located in the Green Belt.
We led the negotiations with the local authority and the Government Office for the South East in securing the planning permission. Known as the Tonbridge Centre, it was officially opened by Lord Coe in June 2008.
